The information on this site is provided free of charge to anyone interested in the LEAR Family and its branches that have spread around the world. Contact us if you would like to be part of this project.

We are working to include all branches of the LEAR, LEER, LEIR, LEIRE, LOOR, LAIRE, LAYER, LEHR, LEHRER family although our main interests at this time are the LEAR families with a UK origin.

Hosted and maintained by Virtually Anything in Australia, Leargenes started as the aggregation of research conducted by the Australian Branch of the LEAR family from Bitton UK and which today has family branches in most States and Territories of Australia.

The site includes information provided by other branches of the LEAR family from all parts of the globe. LEAR names and the associated Births, Deaths and Marriages have been collated and included in data provided on this site.

The ancestors of the Australian branch of the LEAR Family had a close association with several families in Bristol and Bitton (Bristol) Gloucestershire UK and again in Australia and New Zealand. The families with close association include CAINES, BAKER, BRAIN, BRYANT, FLOOK, FRY & WARD - some information on these families is also provided. If your family has a connection with the LEAR family let us know as it is likely Virtually Anything which is owned by a LEAR ancestor can provide some space for your data.
